Thermal oil heaters are indispensable for the chemical and plastics industries, providing precise, efficient, and reliable heat supply across a wide range of processes.
In yarn production, they deliver the required heat for extrusion nozzles and are also used for drying and thermofixation of synthetic fibers. In the production of films and foils, INTEC thermal oil heaters ensure the necessary heat for extrusion, lamination, and roller tempering, maintaining consistently high quality.
In resin production, they are employed for polymerization and curing of synthetic resins.
They also play a key role in coating manufacturing and processing, handling critical tasks such as drying and precise temperature control in reactors. With accurate temperature control ranging from 180 °C to 350 °C, a closed heat circulation system, and robust construction, INTEC thermal oil heaters are highly energy-efficient, reliable, and perfectly suited for continuous operation.
PET Recycling Plant
At the intersection of the plastics industry and waste management
The recycling plant in India employs a state-of-the-art chemical process to efficiently process plastic waste from the food industry, particularly used plastic bottles. In this process, PET is broken down at the molecular level using glycols into monomers and oligomers, which are then processed into high-quality PET chips. These chips are used in the production of new food packaging, textiles, automotive parts, and other polyester-based products, contributing to a closed material cycle.
The process is characterized by resource-efficient properties. Compared to conventional PET production, water consumption is reduced by up to 75% due to the elimination of complex cleaning and cooling processes.
Glycolysis operates at moderate temperatures between 180 °C and 250 °C, whereas the production of new PET from petrochemical raw materials requires temperatures exceeding 400 °C. Additionally, energy consumption is reduced by 91%, as energy-intensive steps like polymerization from fossil raw materials are avoided. The plant has a production capacity of 280 tons per day and can recycle over 100,000 tons of post-consumer PET annually. For efficient heat supply, INTEC has delivered and installed four gas-/oil-fired heaters with a total thermal capacity of 36 MW. These heating systems ensure precise and uniform temperature control, minimize by-products, and guarantee stable process operation. In addition to glycolysis, thermal oil heaters are also used in the cleaning and drying of monomers and the recrystallization of PET chips.
