Three-pass and single-pass heaters for heating thermal oil
On a variety of ships, thermal oil heater are used as the central energy system. The design of the thermal oil heater is adapted to the confined space conditions, vibrations, and movements of the ship.
These thermal oil heaters are directly fired. In particular, on tankers, an economizer is additionally installed in the exhaust gas system, which is heated by the exhaust gases from the ship's engines during free sailing.
The generated energy is used for tank heating and onboard convenience. While in port and during the standstill of the ship’s engines, energy generation is provided by the directly fired heater.
