Palm oil and oleochemistry

The oleochemical industry is concerned with the production and processing of chemical compounds from vegetable and animal fats and oils.

Palm oil, one of the most commonly used vegetable oils, plays an important role and is used as a raw material together with soya, rapeseed, coconut and palm kernel oil as well as animal fats such as tallow and lard.

INTEC's thermal oil and steam heating systems are optimised for heating raw materials, splitting and distilling fatty acids and glycerine, carrying out esterification reactions and drying products.

Controlled, stable heating is crucial for process efficiency. Thermal oil heaters achieve higher temperatures at lower pressure compared to steam heaters.

Specifically for the oleochemistry sector, INTEC has developed the so-called iNOOK, which ensures uniform and reliable heat distribution as well as increased safety, ecological compatibility, and economic efficiency. This natural circulation boiler is based on a water-steam cycle and operates without pump systems.

Waste generated during palm oil extraction is increasingly being used as fuel for steam and electricity generation. INTEC also offers suitable systems for energy production in this context.

INTEC technologies optimize production processes through increased energy efficiency and availability.
