Heat exchanger
For gas |gas & gas| liquid systems
Heat exchangers are widely used in many industrial applications and Industry sectors .
They enable the efficient and controlled transfer of thermal energy between media.
Special heat exchangers play a particularly important role here, as they significantly reduce the primary energy input in boiler and power plant systems by preheating the air required for combustion, thereby improving the overall efficiency of processes.
Heat is exchanged in the heat exchangers by transferring heat from the external medium through the partition walls of the tubes to the internal medium. There is no mixing of the material flows.

Evaporators and condensers are special types of heat exchangers that are used in coolers and heaters or in heat pumps. Here a phase change of the medium occurs, from liquid to gaseous (evaporation) or vice versa (condensation). These phase changes lead to high heat transfer values
Economizers are another type of heat exchanger used in heating systems and many industrial processes. They generally use exhaust heat to preheat feed water.

Recuperators
Recuperators are used in many industrial processes and systems. They transfer heat without mixing the heat-emitting and heat-absorbing material flows.
Depending on the required efficiency, recuperators are designed as simple cross-flow heat exchangers or as multiple cross-counterflow heat exchangers.
Recuperators are characterized by the fact that the heat-emitting and heat-absorbing sides are gas-tight and separated from each other. Typically, the heat-emitting side flows around the tubes, while the heat-absorbing side flows through the tubes.

Air preheater for boiler systems
Air preheaters have the task of preheating the combustion air during combustion processes in order to reduce the energy required for combustion.
Depending on the type of combustion system, different designs of air preheaters are used. So-called circular disk heat exchangers have proven to be advantageous in heat transfer oil boilers, and recuperators with multiple cross-flow have proven to be advantageous in biomass combustion plants.
Heat exchanger
Ash cooler
A special design of the INTEC combustion systems is the fluidized bed combustion with ash cooling in the side bed.
The fluidized bed is limited by an ash overflow, through which hot ash from the fluidized bed reaches a heat exchanger in a double cross-flow design.
The hot ash trickles around the staggered pipes and gives off heat through contact with the heating surfaces, which cools the ash.
Specially arranged damping plates are installed to avoid pipe vibrations in the ash cooler.
