In many cases, the use of fluidized bed combustion is ideal for burning biomass and for thermal waste utilization.
The INTEC fluidized bed combustion is an atmospheric fluidized bed, which significantly increases performance by partially recirculating the ash via a side bed. In fluidized bed combustion, the fuel is burned in an inflated bed of sand/ash. The fluidized bed takes on a liquid-like behavior. The height of the fluidized bed is limited by an ash bed overflow. The overflowing ash trickles through a heat exchanger (ash cooler) in a side bed and gives off a large part of its heat to a heat transfer medium. The cooled ash is completely or partially returned to the fluidized bed. This allows the temperature in the fluidized bed to be continuously regulated.Power range: 0.5 MW - 50 MW
INTEC fluidized bed combustion systems can be designed with an open or a closed ceramic nozzle base. The execution criterion depends on the fuel quality.
