In 2012, INTEC was awarded the contract to supply a biomass combustion plant for the provision of process energy for an MDF production line. The plant, which has a capacity of 28 MW, is heated via a reciprocating grate and an injection firing system above the grate. In 2012, INTEC was awarded the contract to supply a biomass combustion plant for the provision of process energy for an MDF production line. The plant, which has a capacity of 28 MW, is heated via a reciprocating grate and an injection firing system above the grate. Bark, wood chips, dust, production waste, residual fibres and palm fibres are used as fuel. The hot gases from the combustion are used on the one hand to dry the wood chips and on the other hand to heat the heat transfer oil, which is used to heat all the production systems (chipboard press, short-cycle coating presses, etc.). A total of 9.5 MW of thermal power is extracted for heating the thermal oil. An indirect steam generator is connected, which generates 11.2 t/h of saturated steam at 16 bar(g) and 203°C. The steam generator heated indirectly by thermal oil has an output of 7.6 MW.

SCOPE OF INTEC

  •  Moving grate with injection firing
  •  Thermal oil heating system (ETA)
  •  Indirect steam generator (IDE)
  •  Complete plant peripherals
  •  Planning, delivery, construction supervision and commissioning
